Northwoods Missions June 24-
A week long mission project in northwest Wisconsin for youth and young adults.
The Northwoods Missions project is a fun and rewarding new summer mission event consisting of several projects in Burnett and Polk Counties, located in Wisconsin and about 70 miles northeast of Minneapolis. Cost for 6 nights of lodging, meals, and activities is $125.
Mission teams will travel each day from a base camp at the Grantsburg Fairgrounds to various locations nearby to help with projects. Projects typically last from 8:30AM to 2:30PM each day which allow for mission teams to participate in a range of late afternoon and evening activities. The result is a unique event that combines the key elements of a mission trip with those of a summer camp program.
Volunteers will be working on a wide range of projects supporting the rural and small town communities of northwest Wisconsin. As a volunteer you will be working with caregivers and homeowners on projects such as home painting, home repairs, home construction, helping people move, organizing local food pantries, landscaping, and spending time with residents of assisted living centers.
Afternoon and evening activities for the volunteers include hiking, swimming, canoeing, late night games, live music, campfires, and worship.
Mission teams stay at a base camp called the The Christian Disciple Festival which
will be held at the Grantsburg Fairgrounds. The festival combined with the work project
provides a unique week long Christian immersion experience The festival starts June
24th and ends June 30h. It is designed primarily for youth and young adults (ages
